So…Did it work? I’m really curious, as I wrote it to work with the MetaWebLog API.
Does WordPress expose this API now?
Let me know.
It seems to work, but doesn’t really give any more functionality than w.Bloggar (for me, at least). It would be nice if I were posting to multiple blogs at once, though.
There is one thing that I miss from MT - automatic picture posting through the API without having to set up FTP or upload through the web interface. Blogjet makes use of this with the MT API.
Hey! You’re the “Chris Frazier” that wrote postXing! I’m honored to have you as one of the first non-spam comments on my site. Thanks…
Heh. Glad to oblige. About the w.bloggar functionality - I actually “borrowed” a lot of ideas from w.bloggar as I really just wanted a wysiwyg interface for that program. PostXING was a result of this.
Yeah, the metablog api is severely limited in its functionality. On top of that, not everybody implements it the same, making it harder to get a feature (like sending enclosures for example) to make it thru my “rigorous testing”. (which would be seeing if it works for me a couple of times:)
